May 9, Russia celebrates a national holiday — the Day of Victory in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, in which the Soviet people fought for the freedom and independence of their Homeland against Nazi Germany and its allies. On May 9, 1945 festivities, populous meetings took place everywhere. At 21:00 Joseph Stalin  addressed to the Soviet people. At 22:00  30 volleys of 1000 guns were fired . After the fireworks dozens of aircraft dropped garlands of colorful rockets over Moscow ,in the squares people lighted numerous sparklers.
